Bruce Harper, a former professional Jets' football player, was just interviewed by Jenny Vrentas, a reporter for The Star-Ledger. Jenny began her career at Penn State University where she majored in biochemistry and molecular biology. She started writing for her college newspaper and then realized that journalism was her career choice. She loves the people all around her and knows that journalism is the one.
Bruce Harper started his football career when he was young in high school. He played college football after high school. In college he met a friend who had connections with the Jets. Bruce wanted to get a try out badly, and the waiting was worth it. He made the the team. His professional football career lasted 7 years, ending with and injury that lead to retirement.
Getting to know these two great people has inspired all of us as students. It has inspired us to follow our dreams and never give up. Some people find writing so boring and wonder how people could just sit and write. But writing is much more than a moving a pen or typing, it is a way of expressing ourselves and that is what we are here to learn at Write on Sports.
